The Lil' Romeo Story

Lil' Romeo was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 19, 1989. He is the son of renowned rap star Master P who accumulated quite a fortune through the entertainment business and is still a major player in the rap music industry.

As a child, Lil' Romeo was very interested in music and by the age of four, he could emulate the rhythm of almost any rap song he heard. Master P discovered his raw talent for rapping when he was about nine years old and patiently guided him to through his formation years as a musician helping him to become one of the youngest professional rappers in history.

When Lil' Romeo was about twelve, Master P decided that it was time for him to cut his first solo album. The self-titled release was so well-received that Lil' Romeo was instantly celebrated by hip hop music lovers, especially teenagers all over the world.

The popular single "my Baby" became the teenage anthem of that time and ascended to the number one spot on the US music charts. In the same year, Lil' Romeo also tried his hand in acting, appearing in the movie "Max Keeble's Big Move".

Spurred by the success of his first album, the prolific musician cut a second release entitled "Game Time" the next year. The response for this album was even more encouraging, as it took the top position on the US R&B charts.

Around this time, Lil' Romeo also managed to secure the lead starring role in the Nickelodeon TV show called "Romeo". This teenage program truly proved to be the ideal training ground for his acting skills and more importantly, made Lil' Romeo a household name. The show is no longer being produced but you can find reruns on the nickelodeon channel.

In the next few years, Lil' Romeo released two more records, "Romeoland" and "God's Gift" but they were far from the achievements of his first two albums. But things were beginning to shape up in his acting career. He starred in five more movies and proved his versatility as an actor in very varied roles.

Lil' Romeo is also a very skillful basketball player, having played for the US Junior Olympics Team. Only recently, he received an invitation to develop his skills with the top basketball training program in the country. We will have to wait and see if he is going to continue to pursue this as a career and maybe even someday we may get to see him in the National Basketball Association.

With upcoming concerts and new movies Lil' romeo's fame is sure to continue to grow and we can all look forward to more great music and movies featuring Lil' romeo.
