Golf Tours to Spain

Are you looking for that Golf vacation that is different from everyone else ?

Have you considered Spain? Spain has long been a favorite Golf destination for Europeans. The Andalucia region of Southern Spain has one of the largest concentrations of Golf courses in the country.

They call the area of Costa del Sol the Golf Coast. In this small area there are over 60 World class Golf courses. Some of the Worlds top course designers have left their mark in this region.

Cutting out Golf courses from this breathtaking land has been the names of the greats. Nicklaus, Ballesteros, and Olazabal just to name a few.

They have run the holes through Forest and over lakes, through the beaches and over rolling hillsides all to make your memories so much more.

In this region on Spain you will find the winter home of the European P.G.A and at Valderrama in 1997 they held the Ryder Cup. Imagine the joy of playing on the same course that you watched the tournaments on.

Alahurian Golf and Country Club offers a 18 hole course designed by Severiano Ballesteros and features tight fairways with challenging water holes.

Also among the amenities offered is a on-site hotel and fine restaurants. Number of holes: 18 Total
Yardage of 6806.

Campo de Cordoba is a 18 hole course in a Parkland setting. With its tree lined fairways, eleven doglegs and four holes with their greens boarded by lakes it demands your best game.

Campo de Cordoba is one of the most inland of the courses in the region. It is located in the Serrania de Cordoba Hills and comes complete with birds and other types of wildlife.

If you like water all along your course, then you will love Golf de Puerto. This 18-hole course was designed by Pro Player Manuel Pinero to challenge the most avid of players.

Nine lakes linked together by streams add the variety and complexity that you would expect on your Golf vacation. Also of note is the Andalucian A.P.G has and will be hosting a variety of tournaments here. Number of holes 18, Total Yardage of 6314

The next Golf Club to look at has a unique approach to it. Drawing on the Spaniard sport of Bull Fighting, this club has named each of the eighteen holes after a famous bullfighter.

And if you have names as tough as a bullfighter then you would want your course to be tough as well. Olive trees and water hazards surround many of the greens.

If you want to beat Par on a tough course, here it is. Number of holes 18, Total Yardage of 6532

Remember that thorough research into the courses will make your trip more pleasant. If you are an avid Golfer but long, narrow fairways do not help your game and you choose to play at courses that are designed this way, it could hinder your enjoyment of the trip.

Consult a Golf Vacation specialist, someone who knows the Clubs and understands your game. Also do not overlook the beauty of Spain, the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the Bull fighting arenas.

Sample the food, the dance and the culture in general. Enjoying all of these things will round out your vacation, and fill the 19th hole with stories for years to come.
